Syntx LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operates RQuants at https://rquants.com and https://app.rquants.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our websites, applications, and services (the "Service").

2. Information we collect
Account and authentication
When you register or sign in, we may collect:
- Email address and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash)
- Registration IP address for fraud and abuse prevention
- Session cookies and authentication tokens
- Subscription tier, status, and expiration date (for paid accounts)
- Login and activity timestamps
Broker and portfolio data
If you connect a brokerage account, we collect connection settings (such as host, port, and connection identifier) and portfolio information your broker makes available through read-only API access— including account identifiers, positions, balances, and related metrics. We do not place trades on your behalf.
Information you provide
- Waitlist: email address, optional name, stated use case, referring page, and IP address
- Contact form: name, email, subject, message, and optional image attachments
- In-app content: journal entries, checklists, notes, and similar user-created data
- Trade intelligence: CSV or similar files you upload and analytics derived from them (scoped to your account)
Technical and security data
- IP address, browser type, device information, and request logs
- Cloudflare Turnstile verification data on public forms
- Error, performance, and security logs from our infrastructure
Browser storage
We store certain UI preferences (such as theme and sidebar layout) in your browser's local storage.
Payment information
Subscription payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and enforce subscription access levels
- Display portfolio analytics and market data you request
- Respond to waitlist, support, and contact inquiries
- Send transactional communications (account notices, security alerts, billing receipts)
- Monitor for fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
Where permitted by law, we may send product announcements or marketing email. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you; legitimate interests (such as security and service improvement); consent (where required, including certain marketing); and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

Broker credentials and portfolio data are used only to provide the Service to you and are not sold for third-party marketing.
6. Data retention
We retain account information while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain backups.
Waitlist and support records are retained as needed for onboarding and customer service. Uploaded files and journal content remain until you delete them or close your account, subject to routine backup retention.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed credentials, access controls, and network segmentation for production systems. No security program is perfect; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, California residents may request disclosure of categories of personal information collected, the purposes of processing, and categories of third parties with whom information is shared; deletion; and correction. We do not sell personal information and do not discriminate against consumers for exercising privacy rights. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.
11. Third-party links and brokers
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or connect to your broker's systems. Those parties' privacy practices apply to information they collect independently. Review your broker's privacy policy and API terms.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date and, where required, provide additional notice of material changes.
